I have ALWAYS struggled with memorizing these tables and I didn't think I would find a way for them to stick in my head until now.

2 tips that helped me pass the NPTE
(1) If a small concept is too hard to understand, try your best to memorize the important bit of it! Most likely, it will only be one or two questions on the exam. So the stress of trying to understand that concept is NOT worth the stress.
For example... sensitivity and specificity.
- spIN (rule in), snOUT (rule out)
- The "I" sideways looks like a negative sign
- The "T" in out looks like a positive sign
Done. And DONE.
(2) I memorized this cheat sheet and threw it up on the sheet of paper you get for the test as soon as I was able to start on the exam so I didn't have to worry about these numbers and tables the whole time. I was able to get it down to <10 minutes and I kept referencing it during the exam which saved me a TON of stress.
